Comic imprint Double Take, the result of a collaboration between former Marvel president Bill Jenas and the video game publisher Take Two, has released the full solicitations for its “Ultimate Night of the Living Dead” line.
The slate consists of ten ongoing comic series, each debuting on September 16 in both print and digital formats. All tie in with George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, and retain that film’s 1960s setting. However, they will take place in an alternate version of the film’s continuity: certain characters who died in Romero’s story will still survive in the “Ultimate” line, for example.
Double Take previously stated that “For fans of the film, Rise, Honor and Soul are stories that follow our favorite characters like Johnny and Barbara but with new surprises. Spring, Z-Men and Home are original stories set in that film’s universe.”
